When I got to Montreat it was dark. We had been traveling all day so I didn’t get a good look at where we were staying until the next morning (Huske House). When I woke the next morning and explored around, I found that this beautiful house slept 20, was on a hill, and a stream ran right by the house. My first thought was, “Wow, this is amazing”! The experience was so life changing, and the people I was reunited with made the experience even more enjoyable. Ms. Jean Vernon was probably my favorite person there; she made my mantra for me. Whenever someone said anything to me I had to say, " I am a child of God and God loves me. One of the most memorable experiences that happened to me was on our free afternonn at a place called Sliding Rock, which I had to slide down 6 TIMES because Pastor Rick isn’t the greatest photographer! And of course, My Fathers Pizza was pretty good pizza. All the new friends and experiences I made truly were life changing, and I can’t wait to go back next year. Alex is a rising sophomore at Camden County High School.
